Slayer Instruments will increase your success chance by 20% when used on the creatures it is meant for.Player written Slayer Spellbooks can only be crafted by scribes with high magery, necromancy or mysticism skill using a scribe pen.Slayer Spellbooks, when equipped, will cause targeted spells to do increased damage to the monsters they are meant for in the same ratio as slayer weapons.Slayer Weapons can both be found as monster loot and be crafted by using a runic crafting tool or imbuing skill.Fey Slayer is a special super slayer category that does triple damage.Super Slayer Weapons will do double damage to the monsters they are meant for.A successful use of a Slayer Weapon, Spellbook or Instrument will yield a little white flash on the monster.Three additional super slayers were added with the Time of Legends for inhabitants of Eodon.More recently these properties can also be found on spellbooks dropped by mages during the Shattered Obelisk town invasions. Mondain’s Legacy Slayers, originally found on Talismans and a few specialised weapons, are super slayers which do not have an opposing group, this slayer type also includes ‘goblin slayer’ introduced with Stygian Abyss.Undead group mobs will do double damage to a player using an Ogre slayer or any other slayer from the Repond group. e.g Reptile group mobs will do double damage to a player using a Terathan slayer, or any other slayer from the Arachnid group. – Mobs from the opposing group will do double damage to anyone wielding a Slayer, super or single. Each of those groups have an opposing group.Each group has a Super Slayer that will increase damage/success on all monsters within that group.Abyss, Arachnid, Elemental, Humanoid, Reptilian and Undead.
